I got a $700 bonus...worried I’d get a Jam of the Month club or similar. I have to get my bathrobe washed tonight and clean the house. Tomorrow folks are coming over for the Bad Santa Pub Crawl. I am going as Cousin Eddy.
School is done for the semester and I did awful...3 As and 2 Bs. Barely got the one B.

The most difficult part of this will be resisting the urge to send weiner pics to all of her friends (that never works out). It’s totally acceptable to hook up with them if you get the chance , however.

Breakups are awful and your heart may hurt for a long while. But one thing I’ve learned about breakups (mine, at least) is that in the end I come out a better person. I learn where I can improve or what I could have done differently. Or I suppose most importantly, I raised my standards.

I know you’re hurt now, and probably confused thinking she was “the one”. It sucks.... it’s going to suck for a while, but one day in the future you’ll look back and think to yourself, “I can’t believe I was so upset over HER”. You may even see that you dodged a huge bullet. Th ere was this super hot, half puerto rican girl I dated in college. I thought she was perfect, and was so distraught when we broke up. Today (19 years later) sh e is 300lbs, doesn’t wor k, and sits on the couch all day watching N et flix. I can’t thank God/T he Universe enough for saving me from that one. Never in a million years would I o f imagined she would turn into w ho she is today. I guess my point is, b reakups are often a blessing, even though it might not feel like it today.

Is this your first year there? If so this is pretty common in the fall when people have just arrived from the east coast, they kind of go into a funk - you are quite a bit further north and it’s pretty grey. It can really affect some people.

If she reconsiders, the best way to avoid that is to head out and do stuff all the time, irregardless of weather. Gore-tex and fresh air is your friend.

ETA: it’s that time of year too, and people get homesick, which compounds the situation, especially given distance. Was she planning to go back to New England? If you do work things out, heading back east might be a solid idea.
